Using smart phones since the SPV c500 "Simples"

« on: 12 October 2009, 09:41 »

Started off just wondering why i cant get my euro1 fw to update from v12.0.024 to v12.0.026 when its been out for ages

i tried via nsu and fota and nothing - there was an update under "settings>applications>software updates" which stated the 0.26 update was avaliable but said i needed to plug in a usb cable, but then it never appeared again when i finally did plug in the usb.

i loaded up navifirm and discovered that v12.0.026 are BRANDED firmware versions of .024 as i had unbranded my handset - so all is normal

So this is why you might not be able to get the latest latest versions of firmware

update: - the new nsu update is allowing me to update my unbranded RM 505 euro1 firmware from 12.0.024 to 12.0.026

this is strange as when i last checked navifirm didnt display 12.0.026 for EURO1 specifically

hoping that my phone doesnt crash as often when answering calls
