All touch phones will get kinetic scrolling. We all will get widgets, however, it's not sure whether we'll get widgets like N97 or a limited version like 5530.

1. 10th of October : Rollout to unbranded ASIA productcodes
2. 11th of October : Rollout to unbranded EURO productcodes
3. 12th of October : Rollout to unbranded AMERICAS productcodes
4. 13th of October : Rollout to unbranded REMAINING productcodes
5. 14 till 19th of October : Rollout to all branded productcodes
6. 20th of October : Rollout globally completed.
5800 Approximate Rollout Schedule:
1. 22nd of October : NA
2. 24th of October : NA
3. 26th of October : NA
4. 27th of October : NA

More about it, will be added soon, I currently only knew the approximate N97 dates, the 5800 approximate dates will be known in a few days. Don't forget thse are approximate rollout dates, these could change at any time, but they can't move much more than one day forward or backwards.

belgican mate do you have any idea if all touch phones will get kinetic scrolling on menu as well? i have a 5530 and its a pain for me to scroll through that many applications

Nah, they have got no choice. All current Nokia phones have kinetic scrolling except for us, how are they gonna sell Navigation Edition without the update? People will laugh seriously... |

hang on didnt i just give the news of the 5800 coming out 2 days to about a week after the n97 release date not 2 weeks which dont you think is a bit 2 far away afer waiting sooo long we have to wait some more nokia store also said nokia have to maintain a well tracked proven record with their customers and this is it to make them happy and give it to them asap

ive got a feeling that there will be alot of people complaining about:
a) the update still not available for their product codes
b) other problems the new FW will upbring.
just remember everyone you will never ever get a phone with no problems
