changing bootup splashscreen

put C_sys_hash_domainsrv.exe in c/sys/hash, rename it to 'domainsrv.exe'

put E_sys_bin_domainsrv.exe in E/sys/bin, rename it 'domainsrv.exe'

set c2z.rmp to autostart and reboot ur phone

goto C/sys/bin and rename 'RPAutostart.exe or RomPatcherAuto.exe ' to '0RPAutostart.exe' (the number 0)

put c2z4bin_THUMB.rmp in E/patches and apply it with autostart

put SplashScreen.exe in C/sys/bin

and put SplashScreen.mif in C/resource/apps

changing shutdown splashscreen

put 'sysap.exe' in C/sys/bin

put 'SysAp.mif' and 'SysAp.r01' in C/resource/apps

put 'SysAp_reg.rsc' in C/private/10003a3f/apps

reboot ur phone.

*all patches (.rmp) must go to E/patches so if anything goes wrong you can pull  your card and boot the phone.

*mine is SysAp.r01, depends on what language ur phone is using. look into z/resource/apps just for sure.

**SplashScreen. mif is for bootup and SysAp.mif is for shutdown

SysAp                                                                                       SplashScreen

-this is the startup/shutdown splash screen not the animation. i'm sorry  if there's already a guide for this mod. c2z needed for domainsrv mainly for my theme fx not the startup/shutdown itself. using RP+ v2.00 disabling c2z on boot up always screwed my phone but not w/ RP+ v2.03.

-about the pics, all credits goes to the author, i just added the text.

So you mean to say that this is not a mod for the two hands shaking screen but a mod to the nokia logo shown which is shown before anything else?

yes it is mate  Grin. it changes the nokia blue logo during boot up or shutdown not the handshake animation. but you need c2z for domainsrv so domainsrv can forces c2zbin to boot b4 anything else.

check ur c/sys/bin, if it's there then try uninstall it n then install RP+ 2.2/2.3 in ur C drive. if you got folder patches in ur C then move all patches in it to your E/patches drive.

U can install this and just change the "startup.gif" in C:\boot to any gif image you like (should be 360x640 and you should rename it in that folder). Use any file explorer that can show hidden and system folders (like Xplore)
You can even change the startup sound (and the nice thing is that your phone doesn't need to be hacked)

BTW it's installed on my N97.

Here's the startup animation I made for my wife's N97 (well it's obviously not animating in the picture)

The gif file I used for mine is also attached

* Matrix startup screen.sis (273.98 KB - downloaded 11 times.)

* Matrix_Arvin.gif (486.38 KB, 360x640 - viewed 8 times.)

This mod replaces the Nokia Joining hands Screen,
Not the Blue Nokia Logo on the white background which appears first.

Yes I know, I didn't say it was for the Nokia logo. But some people do want to change the traditional handshake and with this you can change it into any gif animation and any sound (should be an mp3 and not longer then 10sec.)
