One of the biggest problems with Google Maps App was that every time you reset your phone or change your phone and install maps, you will see that all your starred items will be lost. Then you will have to do it all over again which can be tiring when you have a lot of locations.

Luckily, google had our prayers. Now with the new version of maps for symbian os you can sync it with your google account. So it will be saved in your account. And next time you reset your phone or change it, you will have all your starred locations as soon as you sign in.

Another difference we have spotted in the new version is the look of the app. You will notice a brighter and slightly bigger symbol for the my location and of course favourites menu is now starred items. Thats all we could find, if you have found any difference, do tell us by commenting below.

To download the google maps, go to google.com/gmm on your phone and click maps.

me have tried to download google maps app on my nokia 5800, but after successful installation its gives me SYSTEM ERROR

what's the point using google map, when we have ovi maps? is this application better, or is it just for the fact  that their is much more users of google map ?

Useful if the OVI maps are not detailed enough for a certain country.

yea google maps 4 gives me a system error why is that ?
