Hello, First I want to thank you for all the hard work you have done for the community, I waited for the hack for my brand new N97 as a miracle! However, the problem occurred when I tried to flash phone in Phoenix. My device is Nokia N97 RM-505 / v21.0.045 / 0576366so I downloaded the appropriate version using NAVIFIRM, (Why are there two same versions for each code anyway?) I put the files in the right folder and successfully detected the phone in Phoenix. Then I wanted to start the process, but the program has an error with "missing optional file". Can i start refubrish without it file or it is something important? Thanx for advice!

Hi, I was just wondering if this hack will allow me to change my Nokia N97 from a 507 to 505, because i want to have traditional chinese on it, or will this brick my phone? Is there any way to possibly hack my 507 so that it can read chinese by changing the product code to the HK one which, belongs to a RM 505?

Hello all;
Can someone (that manage to hack N97 with this procedure) please answer me a couple of questions in order to make a status?
I have 20.0.019 N97 White
I format mass memory and memory card I have manage to successfully install the hacked firmware with phoenix,no problems; replaced the firmware file and just reinstall beautifully.
Phone restarts, ok. What do I have to do next...?? (Someone said in this topic that the hack should install RomPatcher; truth??) When phone starts again I don't have RomPatcher installed...sow naturally I install it and copy the patches folder on the mass memory. (what version of Rompatcher and patches should I install???)
After installation I start RomPatcher and get a error message about file Patcher*.LDD not being found...press OK anyway, and patches are visible on the program, but when I apply them, I get a red cross in front of each patch... (I suppose this means that patches haven't been applied...
Can someone answer me those question ans tell me what I'm I doing wrong and what do I have to do to get the job done...??
Thanks to all.

After hack RomPatcher should be installed & present in Applications Menu but not in Application Manager listing. Did you check menu? In any case you need to install RomPatcher again to get autostart to work. It's recommended to use RMP+ Lite but I installed RMP+ 2.3 (same as version installed by hack) & that got autostart working. Patches are only active with green icon - red X means patch or patcher not working. Without a working RomPatcher you are a little stuck - maybe try flashing again Edit: Just noticed you mention just reinstall beautifully - you need to press Refurbish button on Phoenix to hack

Will this hack work wiith me? I have a branded N97 on Vodafone, but the hack has a different filename than any of the files in the firmware package. Do i simply include the hacked file to the list in 'Firmware Update', or will i need to download the original unbranded N97 firmware and use that?? Regards

Regards Put all eight files you downloaded with Navifirm (against currrent product code & firmware version) in ...\Nokia\Phoenix\Products\RM-xxx folder. If necessary rename hack file (v20 or v21) to match equivalent file in this folder then overwrite with it. Phoenix should then allow Refurbish flash (ignore missing file message).

Dear Adonix, I 've tried to flashed my N97 firmware version 20 using Phoenix with RM-505_APAC_INDONESIA Black (0576121). I have followed all steps above but when I click "Refurbished", an error message appeared told that file RM505_RM507_012_000_M015.fpsx was missing so the process can not be completed. Do you have any idea what was that mean?
Edit: Sorry because I have just read same problem wrote by merlo. Ok, I will continue flashing then. Yes, finally I have just finished flashing my Nokia N97 with firmware version v21.0.45 APAC INDONESIA BLACK (0576121) and everything is ok so far (sorry for no screenshot because I've just finished it and resetting the phone). Thank's for all of you guys that have given us more fun with our device.

Ive tried renaming the hack file and overwriting the equivalent file i downloaded off navifirm, but now phoenix wont allow me to flash, saying there is a bad checksum in the hacked file.

Please, I need some help! I'm new here, but I Made all the steps using Phoenix, downloading all the firmware, and flashed my N97 black, firmw. 20.0.019. Now it is up to 20.2.019. By the way, I don't see in any folder or file, (using x-plore) the "rompatcher" program to load the "patches" that are copied into the file on my SD card. What can I do? I tried to instal the program "rompatcher", signed it but still canīt install into my N97. What can it possibly be happening?
