Please. Help me . I Have a problem in installing the new Nokia 5800 Firmware (v40.0.0.5 )
I Have a New Nokia 5800 XpressMusic RM-356 (I just bought it Yesterday)
The installed Firmware is v21.0.025

I tried to install the v40 Firmware using My Phone . But when it starts searching for firmware Updates.. It just stops and says (Connection Error)
I Installed Nokia Software Updater using Compatibility Mode on Windows 7 . But after searching for Updates I get (v21.0.025.. Your Firmware is Up to date . If you want to reinstall it.. click on Reinstall..)

I tried everything . I don't know what to do

It's saying that v.40 is not availble for your handset yet hence it saying your firmware is up to date.

Yeah i know, i just stated that in my last post  Roll Eyes

It's up to date according to your product code.

V.40 hasn't been released for your code yet.

if u r using win 7 (like me) i recommend u use nokia ovi suite (like i do) i got troubles with nokia software updater when i updated to v31, but i used ovi to update to v40.. it works like a charm go here and download latest version, dun use that one with the phone, its old, use this --> You are not allowed to view links.

even if its not out for ur product code, its useful to use it instead of software updater
