fring for Nokia 5800 here now

OK boys and girls. Fingers and thumbs at the ready. It’s here… fring for the new super sexy Nokia 5800 touch screen device.

And before we go any further, a big shout out and thanks to those fringsters who were part of the early access group - your feedback has helped us create a fantastic fringing experience, tailor-made for the 5800’s touch screen capability and cool new features.

As soon as Nokia announced the 5800 a few months ago, the fring forums, Twitter and Facebook pages became red hot with fringsters asking us to create a fring for this very cool device.  Well, you asked and we answered :-)

You can take a look at the new YouTube vid we’ve just shot and if you’re lucky enough to have got your hands on a new Nokia 5800, then download the new version here & start sharing the touchy feely fring experience with your friends right now!

This is very good news but i'm still wondering how to change my offline/busy/offline status. I hope they have included this simple function. And how to sort msn contacts and skype contacts. Don't want to have them all in one folder. Maybe it cant be changed. I dont know. Does someone else know?

Is it just me or is everyone noticing a load of their msn contacts are missing??
Bit of a big flaw if you ask me!

Edit: Appears to be anyone you've blocked, they don't appear at all in the contact list in fring.

does this application support landscape mode on nokia 5800XM? I've installed it, but i use Full QWERTY, and its very annoying to rotate always the phone into portrait mode.I've noticed that, when you're trying to create a new username, the last option doesn't appear in landscape mode. Does anybody else have this "problem" ?Smiley

Hello everyone.

This is great an allows me to use messenger even though I am getting the 'can not allow log in' error when I try to use messenger itself.

Is there a way to stop it starting and attempting to log on when I start my phone tho. I don't want to use it all of the time. The only way I can see is to exit it when its started which is a bit of a pain.

EDIT: Sorry, found it in settings

TIA

Jon

Hi. I have a problem with the fring. They don't run, but I see the solution. My 5800 is in spanish, the solution was put the language to english, then run the fring, change language in fring to spanish, and put the phone language in spanish. I don't know if anybody have this problem. This is te solution.
