I also got a bug due to the mass storage mode. In my case, my phone has not access to the internal mass storage and the microSD card. Therefore, my theme and wallpaper will get reset, because I installed those on my internal mass storage. It will pop back once I switch from Mass storage mode to PC Studio.

That's not a bug. It's supposed to be like that.

Happened to me SOLUTION: I changed the home screen theme to contacts bar and everything worked after that! even the green button dosn't work. If you press menu, then the green button, it takes you to the same menu the green button would have taken you in the first place i would do that if you didnt want to hard reset. but hard reset is the easiest option!

Well, surprising,
I was lucky. Since when i bought my NAM phone 1 month ago, the first time i connectede my phone to pcsuite was in mass storage mode. And i followed exactly the steps on-screen and did a proper safe removal. Didn't have any such issue as others.
But since then i haven't used mass storage mode, since i just use bluetooth transfer.

Well that sucks. I don't get that problem with the 5800 XM. I found out, this doesn't occur to my i8910 HD when I'm connected to my other PC. It's so bloody annoying having to set the wallpaper over and over again when I've connected to the PC.

Well you are using firmware which is not released yet, so you can't really complain if it has bugs.

thats right.. the mass storage mode is extremely buggy and unstable .. in v20 windows explorer used to crash when connected in mass storage.. havent tried it since then so dont know abt v21.. But i DO know, mass storage mode CAN corrupt ur memory card very easily..
Remember that you MUST unplug USB mass storage safely. It's same with USB-sticks, USB-harddrives etc. If you just unplug the device without doing it safely then there is always risk of corrupting the media. The reason is that when you eg. write something to memory card or to USB stick etc, your data actually is not written to media. Operating System actually puts data in the buffer. OS flushes those disk buffers to physical media when it thinks it's good moment to do so. That's why you ALWAYS need to unplug mass storage USB-devices safely. Doing that forces OS to flush buffers to media. it also makes sure that all data in buffer is flushed, not just part of the buffer. If you just unplug the device, then it's possible that memory card filesystem gets corrupted.

Well on my N95-3 never happens this... on my actually 5800 until now never happens too, the last time i disconneted without safe-mode and still working fine. I just forget to disconnect in save mode.
The theme always back to the original theme in mass-storage mode. Once you disconnect from the PC is back to your personal theme. Even the N95 did that.
REMEMBER: Is too important to connect in mass-storage mode sometimes to run "scandisk" and "defrag" to your card to work always properly.
