Just got a new 5800 this week, it has v21.0.025

I can't install anything like HelloOX etc.

Maybe the "025" version has put a stop to these aftermarket installers etc?

Has anyone noticed that version 21.0.25 was removed from Nokia Servers ?

Last week I checked using NAVIFIRM and NSU and it was there .. I'm sure.

But since last saturday it disappeared ...

and about the HelloOX .. it worked fine on mine and it is 21.0.25 version .. maybe you're using the instructions for old firmwares.

another thing .. the Flash Lite 3.1 cannot be updated on my phone Sad anyone else got this ?

Sad

I miss my SonyEricsson Sad

there will  be a NEW UPDATE
The New Update are

Nokia next firmware update for its first touch screen XpressMusic phone, the 5800 will see Kinetic Scrolling, widgets, which would enhance the homescreen just like the N97. The update will also improve the phone's response time, camera output. Improved homescreen and widgets will make the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic just like the N97's home screen. Kinetic scrolling would be coming to the web browser, home screen and contact list so you might get a touch experience just like the iPhone if the kinetic scrolling is that good. Partial kinetic scrolling might be a turn-off as the user has to remember which features support Kinetic scrolling and that might shatter his expectations. Full kinetic scrolling is a must for Nokia 5800

Hi Everybody,

I got a nokia 5800, and I am coming from N95 Nokia.

To say the least, Nokia development team seems not to work correctly. For the first company in the world they are really bad.

I had to remove completely the PC suite and have cleaner working prior to have the 5800 recognised. They could have make a shorter USB cable in order to save money. The second camera is not working and finally I had the GPS map license on the N95 and this was not forwarded to the 5800.

The nokia web site is horrible....

Ok, I was told that the new firmware would recognize the second camera. Is this correct? And if yes how to get the firmware?

Would be nice to have someone replying to me.

Thanks

you can update your firmware via NSU (Nokia Software Updater) or FOTA (dial *#0000# - options - check for updates)
and yes you can use front camera with v21
