Does anyone know if there is a countdown timer for the N97 that you can run in the background. Say I'm cooking a pie, I need a 40 min countdown. But if I just go to the menu and the 40 mins expires it won't alert me...

I really like this app.

If you have the time maybe you can add a feature to choose your own alarm sound or add a nice short beep.
